A NEW PLACE TO LEARN…A NEW PLACE TO GROW
One of the key goals of the Spirit of Laredo Capital Campaign is to raise funds that will go towards the construction of a new school. The new facility will be located off of Loop 20 between McPherson and Del Mar and will be recessed 1,000 feet in a developing neighborhood.

In order to accommodate the vast volume of reading and research materials currently owned by MHCS library, the new facility will feature an expansive library with a 30-station computer lab equipped for a library query, Internet research and Accelerated Redaer. The library will include special areas for media presentations, small group study and general reading. Also, the new school will be home to a brand new, state-if-the-art auditorium and a competititon-size indoor swimming pool.

Our students' safetly is always a top priority at MHCS; therefore, several new safety measures will be an integral part of the new campus. There wil be an electric gate at the entrance to the property. The school is consturcted so that all buildings face in to a closed courtyard; the only entrance to the school is gated and locked. Visitors can only be admitted by bell and intercom. The courtyard concept allows the students the freedom to move in and out of classrooms and enjoy the outdoorss in an enclosed, safe and secure setting.
