In order to support spiritual growth, all MHCS students are invited to participate in the celebration of the sacrament of the Eucharist twice a montth and Reconciliation periodically throughtout the year. Prayer in the morning, before lunch, and before classes is an integral part of life at MHCS. Specific sacramental preparation is provided in religion class. Our aim is to help form good Christians and responsible citizens for tomorrow.

All students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities in order to discover new talents and interests. Students in middle school choose a service project to which they dedicate themselves to for an entire year. Service projects include activities such as tutoring, visiting the elderly, volunteering in soup kitchens, battered women's shelters, orphanages, local food banks, Goodwill, Right to Life movement and helping with the endeavors of the Women's Commission.
